Arm wrestling tournament software
Arm wrestling is not like other sports to run. Two hands, double elimination and a lot of small classes. Here is what matters, and the options to choose from.
Updated October 2026
What an arm wrestling event needs
- Online entry and a waiver. Name, age, gender, emergency contact and a signed waiver, before anyone arrives.
- Weigh in and classes. Weight and arm recorded at the scale, with classes built from the result.
- Double elimination brackets for each hand. Left and right arm are separate, so one class is two brackets.
- Table control. Which match is on which table, who is up next, and a referee for each.
- Results and rankings. Podiums published after the event, and a record that follows each puller.
- A stream. Names, round and result on screen, without a production crew.
The options
Paper and spreadsheets. Free and fine for a handful of pullers. It falls behind as fields grow, because double elimination multiplies matches and every withdrawal means redrawing by hand.
General bracket and combat sports tools. Tools such as Smoothcomp and MartialMatch handle registration and brackets well for combat sports and are used across other sports too. They are not designed around arm wrestling's two hands, weight merging and table rotation, so you often adapt your event to fit them.
R2 Sports. The best known arm wrestling specific option: online entry, bracket generation, live match tracking, rankings and a mobile app. R2 Sports charges a per event activation fee plus per player fees at the time of writing, so check their current prices for your size of event.
Armstrong. Built for arm wrestling from the start: online entry with a waiver, weigh in, fixed or dynamic classes, double elimination for each hand, table and referee rotation, a live board, results that move ratings, and a livestream scoreboard from phones. Free for organisers during Beta.

How to choose
Start with your biggest pain on the day. If it is queues and paperwork, you need online entry and weigh in. If it is brackets falling behind, you need double elimination and table control. If it is reach, you need a stream and public results. Run a small trial event before a championship, whichever you pick.
